I just read an article about how they're going to be using a cheap EEG system coupled with a levitating ball to simulate 'Using the Force.' I always thought that EEG was underutilized as a technology, but I never expected it to show up in kids toys first.
I'm certain it's only going to be about 3 electrodes, and all the system does is check to see how much power there is in a given frequency range, and based upon that blow the ball up and down with a fan.
This is pretty cool, though. I know I'll be buying one.

Synchrony!
I have to take a little step back and enjoy the magic of RSS.
So I figured out today that you can not only get news feeds from the worlds best newspapers, but Google Reader will actually translate them from whatever language they're in to English! RSS feeds have been pretty awesome before, but the content is getting so much richer.
Now I like my American media as much as the next guy, which means not very much. Hearing all about the bombings in Gaza is a little bit less one sided than the USA opinion I keep reading about how we support Israel no matter what they do.
I also ended up putting up the blogs of some people that I know, which I find endlessly entertaining. Also, the blog entries I write get imported into facebook with my twitter account. Sweetness. Now, if I only had something constructive to say. :)
